this present, people still have unlimited needs in everything such as way of
live, entertainment, unnecessary things, especially information technology.
From unlimited want of them, people consume and use everything for responding their
needs until these affect for the world. In addition, they lead to effects of pollution such as air-pollution, water-pollution, soil-pollution, etc. After
there is pollution happened in this world, creative people search new ways to
reduce them such as reuse, reduce and recycle something. In this section, I
will present on this topic that “Recycle IT.” It is new way to solve pollution
problems in this time and support saving world saving life. Let’s get knowledge
about “Recycle IT.” For example, life a joystick will become a lamp, an inkjet
printer turns into a cosmetics bag.
Old IT features can be transformed to be usable new things. “Use Me Again” contest are organized on popular Thai website “Pantip.com”
There are inventors in this contest. Chauchai Bunruedi was inspired by turned
IT rubbish into valuable goods such as creating old game joystick function as a
switch for color LED reading lamp. The designer who works as a product development
said that “I set that the target group of the new generation who love cool things,
so I came up with the joysticks.” Prinyo Kongsuphapsiri invents “Heat Sync”
made from the components of discarded CPU coolers. Natthanan Yongwatthanaset is
one of these who used a 17-inch CRT computer screen to invent the dry litter
bin. Another creation created by Chai Jaijing, who designed a mirror and
washing sink from a CRT monitors. Bancha Phacharaphiman invented wall key
hanger made from a used USB. From a previous passage, we will know invented
things that designed and made from used old components of IT.
All above, waste things such IT can be
recycled to be cool goods which supporting with people’ needs. Helping the
world being beautiful as before is not hard for new generation of people.
Nowadays, we must face pollution problems and effects of them, including wire
fire, flood, storm, Tsunami, etc. Bad effects of pollution problem come from
these causes, such as using non-biodegradable things in nature; plastic, don’t
throw litter into the bin, cutting the wood in forest, etc. In this present,
there is campaign about saving world as green such as “Reuse” such as using
plastic bag again or using second-hand things. “Reduce” is a way to save world
such as using water as necessary or using fabric bag instead of plastic bag.
The last way to save this world is “Recycle” If you have good ideas for doing something
best for the world, you should show it off.
