Reflection what I have learned in class-20/10/2013

Reflection what I have learned from the ASEAN community

Listening is the first skill in which people have learned since they were born. In fact, they have learned only the mother-tongue as well. However, they were not good at learning the native languages, especially English. Besides listening skill, how to speak English also was problematic. Educational System Development in 21 st Century was very important way to increase effectiveness of learning. Teachers should change the role from teachers to advisers (teach less) and students have got the opportunity to learn more. In addition, students should be taught by communicative language teaching (CLT), it was focused on using English as much as possible. In this section, I would like to tell what self-direct learning in class. There was teaching on the regional lesson plan divided into several topics, including tourist attractions of Brunei Darussalam, Singapore, Malaysia and other topics.

Tourist Attractions of Brunei Darussalam was interesting topic. A teacher should teach students to read difficult words lead to read easily short sentences. She usually used language as fluency, but she can communicate directing to others. When she offered students to do this activity named “Whisper game” by two teams (five persons a team). Four students stood in line and the fifth person sat on the chair for writing what members of team had heard. This game was good in pronunciation, but the teacher could not control class easily because of noisy. In my opinion, she should prepare self both pronunciation and how to solve face problem happened during doing activities without butterflies. After travelling to Brunei, we would go to Singapore.

Many places in Singapore were attractive for several generations. A teacher showed video presenting tourist attractions. Students matched picture cards appropriated with places of Singapore. For good point, the teacher chose the interesting topic about how to write a postcard about tourist attractions of Singapore. She showed authentic postcards. She taught students to know how to write a postcard and gave examples of them, including greeting, details, ending of postcard and receiver’s address. However, she showed unclear examples for writing address. She could speak English very fluency and control class as very good. A postcard was written shorter than writing the letter, used to perform about interesting places or countries. After having fun in Singapore, we will return Malaysia again.

Ten places in Malaysia were interesting. A teacher showed video presenting places of Malaysia. For good point, she presented big picture cards there were 3D, but they were included vocabularies. However, she did not tell or how to say the meaning of some words such as hotspots, and venues. The conversation was good, concise and clear, so students could use it for recommending a place.  She could pretend teaching as good. If you would like to live in Malaysia happily, we should know the rule of there.

“Do” and “Don’t” were supports for the rule used in Malaysia. This topic was very interesting and important for tourist attractions and Malaysians. First of all, she offered video introducing about Malaysia. For good point, she allowed students to compare what different between Malaysia culture and Thai culture by using structures “do” and “don’t.” Secondly, students match the rule of Malaysia with “do” and “don’t” correctly. However, she should be high-self conscious and practice speaking. She should focus on student-centred very much. We would go travelling around Brunei for gaining knowledge about the events and festivals.

The events and festivals of Brunei were special things at there. A teacher offered a game matching 10 flags in the ASEAN community appropriate with name of countries. The word “lao” should be changed to “Laos.” She should focus on the special events or festivals of Brunei and divided students into groups. Each group would get different content of events or festivals and answered questions to be sentences. After that, students should specific and choose content interested in nowadays. We will go to Vietnam together, after enjoyed travelling Brunei.

Travelling around Vietnam was helpful to get experience about many tourist attractions. A teacher showed video presenting about Vietnamese Tourist Attractions. She taught about the descriptive adjectives. She offered crossword activity, so students were interested on it very much. This activity was focused on working in group and had interaction together. She should enhance students to have participation in several types of activity such as individual work, and pair work. She should practice how to speak English as well as own language. Next program, we would like to go to Myanmar.

Myanmar was a country that was beautiful place. A teacher showed pictures about ten currencies of the ASEAN community. For good point, she offered the authentic Myanmar, Malaysia, Laos’s bill. She showed video in exchange rate situation. She taught students to exchange money at bank when they would like to go aboard. She could use language as very fluency. Students should have listened to conversation more and more, because the teacher should focus on student-centred.

In conclusion, there are three factors affected for good learning outcome such as performance, evaluation and condition. Thailand will walk into the ASEAN community and be the best unity together with other countries in 2015. First of all, we have to understand what peace, prosperity and people mean, because there are three poles of the ASEAN community. According to this essay, teachers realize to apply content about it to another function such as teaching students to ask and bargain prices using Singapore currency. Teachers can enhance students to use English in several real life situations taught by communicative language teaching and other teaching strategies; task-based learning, problem-based learning, project-based learning, and the others. However, English is not more difficult than your thought, whenever you try to use it as if it is your mother-tongue.

Reflection what I have learned in class- 19/10/2013

Reflection what I have learned in class

English is the main language used in communication localwide, nationwide and worldwide. If you can speak or use English as well as the native speakers, you can communicate with several nationalities and countries. In school, students usually are taught by teachers, but not focused on learning by doing. In addition, Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) is teaching strategy used for focusing on using English as first. It also is used couple with other teaching strategies such as task-based learning, content-based learning, problem-based learning, etc. In this section, I would like to talk about what I have learned in class. There were ten people who were teaching for today.

History about educational system in Singapore is focused on quantity to qualityFor good point, a teacher entertained students by playing video named “Song of Unity.” She allowed them to work in group for summarizing content and presented their idea about what they have read in front of class. However, she often offered only group work, so students rarely did the individual task. Moreover, she used language as fair, so she should practice how to speak English more and more. After gaining knowledge about history of educational system in Singapore, we will know about how to write a postcard.
A postcard is written paper used for sending impression about special places. A teacher showed video presented the ASEAN community (Peace, Prosperity and People). Students had participation in several activities, including the whole class activities, group work and individual work. On other hand, some students are hardly to understand exercise I, because the teacher described how to play game unclearly. In presentation, she could give examples of phrases used for greeting, ending of a postcard and how to write receiver’s address or gave clear examples. Next, we wound travel around Singapore again.

Tourist Attractions of Singapore are attractive to travelers. A teacher showed interesting video those students were interested in there. She guided them to know new vocabularies by showing picture cards couple with slide show on the power point. So, students could see picture cards very clearly. She allowed students to listen to sound twice and completed some gaps within worksheet. After that, students presented in pair as the role-playing. In my opinion, she should focus on listening than other skills, so students did several activities based on listening. Let’s gain knowledge about asking and bargaining prices.

Asking and bargaining prices is important when we would like to buy things or use services. A teacher showed video about asking prices at shop department. She allowed students to work in group for matching picture cards appropriate with word cards about Singapore currency. It was so interesting game that students interested in. However, she should read this word from “brunch” to “bunch.” In addition, she usually added “s” to this word “dollar.” In fact, dollar is uncountable noun used without completing “s.” In good point, students could pay attention in class for creating new conversation about asking and bargaining and they are evaluated by testing the role-playing with pair next week. Then, we could ask and bargain things or services they needed at Singapore, we would like to buy souvenir imported from Vietnam.

There were five identity of Vietnamese souvenirs such as Gouc- Moc, Non-La, sand picture, etc. A teacher enhanced students to know what they are going to learn for today by showing video about asking prices. In good point, she taught vocabularies about Vietnamese souvenirs with voice of the native speaker twice. After that, students were taught to know the structure and allowed students for listening to conversation twice, too. Students answered some questions according to listen to the conversation. For example, how many things did you hear in this conversation? Students got 1 score from answering a question correctly. In addition, students are given opportunity to converse in pair to practice speaking. In my opinion, I think she should control classroom more, because some students talked with other loudly during class. Do you know how to do the flight reservation? We returned to Singapore once more time to enjoy with tourist attractions.

People would like to go aboard to see beautiful tourist attraction, especially Singapore. A teacher chose the interesting topic related to content about the AEASN community. She focused on doing flight reservation. She showed video and asked students some questions. Students could have participation in game named “What is my mind?” According to how  to play game, everyone got a picture card and they have to find the one who held a word card related to the picture card. It is good activity, because students could move body. However, the teacher should tell students to use English. For instance, students may ask, who had picture card or word card about a passport? I do agree with the topic chose by him, because it was used in the real life situation at this present. Therefore, he used several authentic materials such as two videos, brochure, and how to teach students for doing flight reservation online. Students could do it when they would like to go aboard. We have to spend money for doing flight reservation, we should know about currency.

Malaysian Ringgit is official currency of Malaysia. A teacher showed video about Malaysia and students were asked some questions. For example, how many countries are belonged to the ASEAN community? “Which one would you like to go?” For good point, students had learned vocabularies couple with the native speaker’s voice. She also compared Malaysian Ringgit to Thai Baht, so students could know the exchange rate converting from Malaysia. What she should develop is directions for doing game using sticks. In addition, she sometimes cannot control class. Do you know how to read by scanning strategy?

Scanning reading was used for finding specific information. A teacher focused on teaching about flag of ten countries in the ASEAN community. She prepared the board shown information that described about flag. Students work in pair and glued flag picture appropriate with information of it. She showed the power point as game named “what is this country?” Students had to read information loudly, find key phrase and told what this country is. In my opinion, overall, she could continue class very well. However, she should be careful for saying polite word with students, and avoided say “Stop your mouth.” She should say “Be quiet please.” Therefore, she did not use easy words and tell how to pronounce difficult words. She should brief the long content to short, clear and concise. After we could read the passage by scanning, we would like to use knowledge to write a postcard to our family, friends, or the others.

Writing a postcard was good way for telling our impression about places. A teacher guides students to know how to write a postcard sent from Malaysia. In good point, she taught students to know vocabularies about tourist attractions in Malaysia. She also reviewed them again by covering words. She showed the authentic material such as postcards imported from Singapore and Malaysia. Then, she taught how to write a postcard, she showed a clear example of the written postcard to students. She told what on the top of the postcard is, greeting, details, ending of postcard, name of sender, name and address of receiver. Students could write it after finished class certainly. In addition, she focused on communicative language teaching couple with task-based learning, because students could write a postcard and send it to someone. The teacher really sent it to post office. After that, students had to send the received postcard to teacher again for getting point. Next chapter let us know about countries and nationalities.

There were ten countries and nationalities within the ASEAN community. A teacher taught students to know vocabularies showing within the table that is easy to see and understand. He still lost confidence during class, so he should breathe in and out. He should check correct word “Philippine” to “The Philippines.” Brunei should be used full name “Brunei Darussalam.” In good point, he could teach each step as good. Students could use the structure to the real life situation, because it is easy to use. For instance, “what is the capital city of (country)?” “Where are you from?” and “What is your nationality?” The teacher gave students homework to find a famous person by using three questions. They changed pronunciation in the first question from you to she/he and changed the second and third questions from possessive adjectives “your” to “her/his.”

In conclusion, creative teaching was helpful to produce good learning outcome. According to this essay, communicative language teaching is the most important strategy used for focusing on English application. It also was used couple with other strategies. In this section, there was teaching about regional lesson plan based on the ASEAN community. Currency, tourist attractions, flags, countries, nationalities, souvenirs and others were examples. Each teacher applied information about the ASEAN community to several functions such as asking and bargaining prices, doing flight reservation, asking about exchange rate, countries and nationalities and writing a postcard, etc. In my opinion, students could use knowledge gained in class into their life situations such as airports, shops, and other places. English was easy for everyone.

Reflectionwhat I have learnedin class 9/10/2013

Reflectionwhat I have learnedin class

Least of students have learned several new things by self, they should be taught by teachers. Teachers should have learned knowledge around the world, since every subject should be related to the others. In English subject, teachers have to apply other subjects into English. For example, teachers teach foreign students to know how to cook this menu named “Tom-Yum-Kung.” According to this introduction, English is very important in communication with several people that we have met every place on the earth. In this section, I would like to talk about what I have learned from teaching on 9 October, 2013 inside classroom. There are six people who have tested teaching in this week. They presents various topics such as ordering food, occupation, asking and giving the directionrelated to places of Nakhon Si Thammarat, places of Satoon, etc.

Ordering food is very important part to go on live. Two people have presented about how to order food in the restaurant. The first person presents interesting activity in warming-up step with game matching picture cards with word cards shown on the board. She offers it that differs from the others, but she does not show what correct answers are on the board. She allows students listen to dialogue that is the native speakers’ voice about ordering food. After students listen to the dialogue twice, they are given a paper in which is conversation sound script. It is good for students because it presents the native speakers’ sound. However, some low or moderated students cannot understand what happened in the dialogue. In good point, she can manage classroom as good. For using English, she rather uses it as fluency, but she usually pronounces vocabularies with “s,” and some words are incorrect pronounced. The difference between the first and second persons is using language as very fluency and accuracy. She also is good at using variety of materials that can motivate students’ interest during classroom activities, including jigsaw game, picture cards, power point, menu created by the Adobe Photoshop program, etc. She allows students to practise the conversation with two and three persons as pair work. She usually tells students after they pronounce some words incorrectly or do something wrong. The third person presents food of Trang province related to how to order food. In good point, she showed video that is cartoon. It is interested by students. She focuses on speaking skill. She uses English as fair.

Everyone needs to work or get good occupations related to their abilities. The fourth person can teach students about occupations that are linked into local places. She starts the lesson by showing picture cards. She allows students to practise the conversation coupled with showing a picture cards. For example, a picture card named “soldier” as a following:
        A: What do you do?
        B: I am a/ an soldier.
        A: What does she/he do?
        B: She/ He is a/ an soldier.
In production step, she lets students to work in pair for asking another person about family members ‘occupations and practicing the conversation. What she should have developed is using language (pronunciation), grammar and classroom management. In addition, she should practice how to speak English as well as the native speakers or own language. However, she presents activity easy to understand.

Asking and giving the direction are good when we lost. The fifth person presents the topic about places of Narathiwat province. She can entertain students and uses language as very fluency. She shows picture cards without included writing. She shows another video related to asking and giving the direction. She allows students to practise to converse with pair. The sixth person presents Nakhon Si Thammarat with picture cards and allows students for choosing them to place on the map. She uses English as influence but she can entertain students during class. She develops how to teach structure from the first teaching because she focuses on only one structure easy to apply into the real life situation. The seventh person therefore presents places of Nakhon Si Thammarat province. She would like students to join in game by matching picture cards (places of Nakhon Si Thammarat) with word cards (prepositions). She cannot control class during classroom activity. She rather uses language as fluency so she should practise more speaking English. The eighth person shows video about “places of Satoon province” and asks some questions How do you feel? What do you use to describe them? In good point, he uses interesting game that is word research. Students have to find vocabularies that are descriptive adjectives. Students can do several activities such as the whole class activity, pair work, and group work. What he has to develop is how to wear a correct uniform.

Ordering food, asking and giving direction and working for good occupation are important factor for going on live. Besides teaching students to gain knowledge about grammatical structure, teachers should teach students to use English in their several real life situations. When students are lost and they can find anywhere, they have to use a map and ask someone who knows about there by using these structures “Could you tell me how to get to + place?/ Could you tell me the way to + place?/ Could you tell me how can I find + place?”. Moreover, they should gain experience about ordering food when going to have meal at the restaurant. They should understand these vocabularies (entrée, starter, and drink) and structures “What would you like? / What will you have?” “What would you like for entrée?/starter?” “Would you like anything to drink?” The last one is about occupation. Students can use this structure for asking about occupation “What do you do? / What does he/she do?” Students can answer those questions “I am a/an + occupation. / He/She is a/an + occupation.” According to this essay, three topics presented above are usually used in the real life situation by man. In my opinion, teachers should teach English related to another subject.

Reflectionwhat I have learnedfromteaching 7/10/2013

Reflectionwhat I have learnedfromteaching

Most Thai teachers usually would like to teach students with the traditional teaching strategies such as content-based teaching, not focused on the student-centred or cooperative language teaching. The students are taught to remember too many vocabularies without learning how to create correct English sentences. In addition, they are taught to know only the grammatical structures without using English in the real life situations that are happened nearly what they faced. Using English for hotel, English for asking or giving a direction, asking for helping, etc. are as examples. They are the function that means how to use English effectively. Today is on seventh October, 2013. There are nine persons presenting how to teach the students with communicative language teaching. It is containing four skills of English (macro skills); listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. More 90 % of speaking skill is focused, but less than 10 % of other skills are focused. In this class, only one focuses on teaching writing skill. In this section, I would like to talk about what I have learned from teaching. There are three factors affect to effective teaching or not; performance, and activities that are to say.

Showing performance is one part of teaching effectively. The first teacher asks students some questions and shows a video introducing the tourist attractions of Pung-Ha province. It is so impressive and can motivate students’ interest. She teaches the structure for asking and answering questions. She shows picture cards; the mountain, cave, island and beach related to places of Pung-ha province. The second person shows a video presenting tourist attractions of Nakhon Si Thammarat province and asks students some questions after finished playing this video. After that, students are taught by the structure “what are the tourist attractions in (province)?” She also has students listen to a conversation pronounced by the native speaker’s sound, so it is good for guiding students to practise. However, she offers the difficult structure for some students. The third person focused on writing skill. He started the lesson by asking some question. For example, where did you go on your holiday? / How was your holiday? He teaches places of Krabi province and past tense form is focused. He has too much information about there and can teach students continuously. On other hand, he offers too much content, cannot pronoun verb in past form correctly and some words showing on power point are incorrect. For example, he types “with” to “witch.” In addition, he should the same word function such as go fishing, play a computer, go diving, etc. The fourth person teaches about asking and giving a direction related to places of Patthalung province. She can continue the lesson as good. She cannot a classroom because few students are chatting on social network during the lesson. The fifth person shows video presenting information about Songkla province with English sound. After that, she asks students “How do you know about this province?” “Do you want to go there?” She can motivate students’ interests into the lesson (warm-up) by asking “if you want to go there, we will plan to go there with this structure; future with to be going to.” She teaches the structure for students. The sixth person shows video about places of Narathiwat province. She asks some questions for students. Then, she teaches students to know the structure for asking and giving a direction. She should improve how to use language as more fluency and edit the details of the lesson and rubric. The seventh person teaches about occupations in Trang province. She shows picture cards about them. Occupations may be related to local lesson plan only a little bit. However, its function can be used in the real life situations. She sometimes is so excited when she is teaching. She can continue the lesson as very well. On other hand, she may not understand how to plan standard of rubric. The eighth person teaches about local food of Nakhon Si Thammarat province. She prepares interesting picture cards that are the puzzled game. She teaches students how to order food when going to a restaurant. There are lots of mistaken grammatical structures. For example, she types that let’s we know about how to order food. She should check them the detail. The ninth person teaches about the hotel and reservation. He uses the authentic materials such as video, a brochure, a postcard presenting about hotel in Nakhon Si Thammarat province and interesting game about facilities and types of room having in the hotel. Therefore, both terminal and enabling objectives are so clear and concise. In contrary, he still does not understand how to design rubric. Everyone has both strengths and weaknesses because they are own good idea for designing the lesson plan, materials, activities and how to evaluate by using rubric.

Several activities are an important part of the lesson plan.According to observing how to teach of my friends (nine persons), I gain too much new experiences for developing my second lesson plan. There are three types of activity happened in class such as the whole class, pair or group work and individual work. In this section, I would like to tell what types of activity that my friends used for teaching students. The first person uses game for group work by diving students into four teams. She shows picture cards covered by six papers with numbers 1-6 on each paper. She would like students to choose a paper per a team and guess what the place of Pung-Ha province is. Which team can answer a correct answer with only one paper is discovered, that team will get five scores. She has students to do individual task and converse in pair about a conversation. The second person uses the whole class activity on warm-up step and practice an example conversation. Then, she gives an exercise to students to change some information as individual work. After that, she allows students to work in pairfor practicing a conversation. The third person shows picture cards and lets students repeat after him for the whole class activities. He gives an exercise for individual students to match pictures that related to activities on holiday. He also allows them to complete an exercise and practise a conversation with friend as pair work. In production step, students are allowed to work in group for writing sentences describing pictures about holiday. The fourth person shows video and asks students some question about it as the whole class activity. She lets students play a game by diving students into groups. She gives students a conversation and would like them to change some information in their own idea as individual work.  After that, students practise a conversation with pair. The fifth and sixth persons show video and ask some questions for students as the whole class activities. Students practise how to ask and give a direction with friend. The seventh person shows picture cards and lets students to pronounce them as the whole class activity. Students practise and make a new conversation with their pair. The eighth person divides students into two groups for playing a puzzled game. After that, she shows picture cards and lets students to pronounce them after her. She would like students to read a conversation as the whole class activity. For individual work, students change some information of a conversation about how to order food. Next, they practise a conversation with pair. The ninth person divides students into two teams for rearrange words about facilities and types of rooms within hotel. Students make a conversation as individual work and practice a conversation with friend.

A result of teaching usually comes from good lesson plan. Before teaching, a teacher should prepare themselves; lesson plan, materials, content, activities (the whole class activity, pair work or group work and individual work) and etc. The teacher should teach what students like and do not be difficult for students’ ability. The teacher should focus on teaching strategies that students can have participation in activities all the class. Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) and Cooperative Language Teaching should be related together for teaching. According to this essay, there are several materials using in the classroom such as video, game, picture cards, worksheet, song, etc. There also are four types of activities, including the whole class activity, pair work, group work and individual work. Most of teachers sometimes do not understand how to design rubric appropriate in which skill they would like to teach students. They can find example rubrics showing on the internet, but they should adapt it into their own idea. In addition, someone does not understand how to draw their objective; terminal objective and enabling objectives. In my opinion, I think everyone can teach students as very well. I think they can develop how to teach next lesson plan that is better that the first one.

According to tape script: recorded from observing in personal experience I

According to tape script: recorded from observing in personal experience I

Introduction:

In Thailand, Thai teachers usually use traditional teaching strategies for teaching students to gain knowledge about English. In a previous of time, some teachers focused on teaching vocabulary only, and they did not focus on how to use English in macro skill; listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. In addition, some teachers taught students to know how to use more grammatical structures than using in the real life situations. The role of teachers was teaching or focusing on teacher-centred. As this present, the world has moved all the time so educational system should change their teaching strategies. Teacher-centred should be changed to student-centred. According to observing how to teach in personal experience I subject, we gain information that is more useful for developing how to teach in 21ST century. Moreover, Thai education should be improved for preparing population’s English ability into AEC (Asean Economic Community). We had observed and gained information (Grade 1) from observation how to teach students in grade 1 or prathomsuksa 1. In this section, we would like to present information gained from observing. There are six topics answering how to teach English for beginners, including 1) lesson structure, 2) classroom management strategies, 3) types of teaching activities, 4) teaching strategies, 5) uses of materials, 6) teachers’ of language, 7) students’ uses of language, and 8) students interaction.

The first topic is lesson structure. These are the way the lesson opens, develops and closes. In warming up step, a teacher may greet and check attendance for students or reviewing the last lesson what they had learned about “family.” The teacher says, before we are going to learn about new lesson that is feeling, we will review about English songs. After that, the teacher lets students review three songs, including “what’s your name song,” “hello,” “a-z.” After finished singing three songs, the teacher says today, we are going to learn about feeling. In presentation step, the teacher guides students to know the meaning of these four vocabularies about how to tell feeling; bored, sad, tired and happy. First of all, we should know about the meaning of this vocabulary that is HAPPY.” The teacher spells vocabularies and lets students to repeat them. The teacher says “I’m happy.” After that, the teacher teaches students to know what bored, sad, happy and tired mean. The teacher tells students how to use each vocabulary. In practice step, the teacher allows students to practise how to show their feeling. In production step, the teacher would like students to do exercise on their book. After finished completing their task, the teacher asks some questions related to what they have learned. There are four numbers of activities constitute the lesson, including the whole class, group work, pair work and individual activities. There are several links and transitions between activities. Warm-up step is focused on greeting and reviewing the lesson again. Presentation step is using questions. Practice step is focused on speaking how to show feeling bored, sad, happy and tired. Production step is focused on doing an exercise. The teacher usually uses questions in wrap-up step.

The second topic is classroom management strategies. The teacher lets students to sing songs together in the whole class. Sometimes, the teacher divides students into two groups (boy and girl groups) for singing a song. The teacher randomly chooses some students to say “I’m happy, sad, bored and tired” In front of class. In addition, the teacher lets individual students to do task. For maintaining order, the teacher will describe students when they do not understand the lesson or how to write some alphabets; h, s, a or u. If students do something wrong or break the rule of class, teacher will cut something they get such as sticker or scores. In addition, teacher may punish them by psychological punishment such as avoid what they do. For time management, the teacher takes about 5 minutes in warm up step, 10 minutes in presentation step, 5 minutes in practice step, 5 minutes in production step and 5 minutes in wrap-up step. For seating management, there are twelve students in grade 1 room. Arranging seats are set in two long lines in order to students can contact eyes with the teacher easily. The teacher allows students to use body language coupled with speak easy English sentences.

The third topic is about types of activity. There are three types of activity such as the whole class activity, pair work and group work and individual work. For the whole class activity, the teacher allows students to sing songs named “What’s your name?” “Hello” “A-Z” and “Feeling.” In addition, the teacher allows students to spell vocabularies “bored” “sad” “happy” and “tired.” The teacher lets students to speak easy English sentences and acting body language. For pair and group work activities, the students work in pair for expressing their feeling. The students work in group divided into two groups: the boy and the girl groups for singing songs. For individual activity, the students do an exercise by matching sign of face that tells feeling with sentences appropriately.

The teacher uses several teaching strategies. The teacher teaches by focusing on Cooperative teaching method. For example, the teacher can contact eyes to eyes when doing activities because the teacher focuses in student-centred. The teacher also focuses on task-based teaching because the teacher gives students to create task. For organizing practice, the teacher focuses on practicing repeat and using body language. Students practise speaking all the class. The teacher chooses several teaching techniques such as using the text book named “Smile 1,” questions, songs named “What’s your name?” “Hello,” “A-Z,” and “Feeling.”

Materials are good for teaching. Teacher should use them for teach students because students can understand much more. The authentic materials are the best thing because students can see. It will make students understand much more. From observation, teacher use the text book. Students use the book that is “Smile book 1” and work smile 1. Smile book 1 use to teach students and they can learn the contents from this book. Students can do the exercise for practice from learn in each unit. In addition, teacher uses other resources. There are microphone and songs. There are 4 songs those teacher uses that are What’s your name?, Hello!, A-Z and Feeling. So, Materials are important for teacher and students. Teacher should select the appropriate material for content. It will help teacher easy for teaching. Moreover, teacher’s use of language is part of life that teacher should speak fluently and accuracy.

Language is important for teacher and students. Teacher’s use of language is the most important. If teacher wants students can speak English fluently and accuracy teacher must speak English correctly because students will absorb everything from teacher. From I observation, I think teacher speak English little. Teacher has the steps to teach students. Teach teaches slowly the students can follow easier. Teacher speaks English little. Teacher check students’ understanding by use Yes/No questions. In addition, teacher has reinforcing to give encouragement to students. When teacher teach about vocabularies teacher will explain about meaning of vocabularies. Teacher will spell and read and students spell and read follow teacher. Teacher focus about pronunciation.  However, teacher should notice students’ use language.

Students’ use language is the best way that students can practice English.  If teacher want the students can communicate with another person teacher should support students communicate by using target language. Student’s use of the mother tongue during class to talk between teacher and friends. Students use language in group work little. Students have problem about grammar that students don’t understand structure and students don’t pronounce correctly. So, teacher should focus about students’ pronunciation. It will help students can speak fluently and accuracy. In addition, student’s interaction is the part of successful of teaching.

Student’s interaction is the part of successful of teaching because teacher and students should have good interaction. Teacher fix time for do the activities in class such as do exercise, teaching. Teacher asks some questions to students that students usually answer them immediately. In this class, teacher sometimes uses English questions for ask students. When students answer questions they will answer questions by using mother language. In addition, when they talk together they use mother language.

Conclusion, good production usually comes from good teaching. The teacher should have basis knowledge about the grammatical structure, how to apply English in the several situations happened and be nearly in the real life situations. The students should be active in learning, have good attitude in English, have effort for searching new information, and try to apply English repeatedly as second or foreign language. The teacher also teaches students focused on student-centred because they will interest about what they have learned. The teacher should create or design the ways to open, develop and close the lesson as so interesting. In addition, the students should be taught by several teaching strategies such as cooperative teaching, task-based teaching, communicative language teaching or the others. The students therefore should be taught by several techniques designed appropriate for students’ interests, including using a game or song. The teacher should prepare several activities for students such as the whole class activity, pair or group work and individual work. Unless, the teacher allows the students to do several activities, they cannot gain new experiences. Besides allowing students to do activities, the teacher should present the authentic materials. In my opinion, I think both the teacher and the students should be a part of teaching English effectively. What students have learned will be useful for them if they try to use and practice English all the time. So, the teacher and the students should prepare themselves for staring the first step as good into the ASEAN Economic Community.

As present, they remember the first day when she saw his face. He smiled at her, came near her and said something on her that she was the woman in his dream or the woman he loved. She said she can remember the first day when he visited her at house and want out together. They have dinner outside. They felt self-conscious but they tried to hide it inner. Likewise, they had a perfect night. They held hand each other, talked, laughed, and felt this was true love. It was romantic love. She knew that he loved her because he told her and he showed his feeling out. She felt that he cared for her when his eyes stared at her with deep in love. In addition, she knew that he loved her because he trusted. They also remember the first day they kissed.
