Foreign Students Series: Accreditation Explained

 Education is important for finding a job in future. When we have higher ability than other, we can get opportunity for selecting good job available with us or job that we like. On the other hand, we hardly get good job if we don’t study in high level or study in needed major at good and famous college or university. Every countries, region, local and places need population with several abilities, so each countries has efforts to prepare students in school as first. Students often consider American college or university. Especially Education in America, employers and school are more usually acceptable education in American that comes from an accredited program. Accreditation is used for controlling educational quality. In this section, I would like to tell you about educational quality control (accreditation) explained in the United States.

According to the Unites States, there are eight accrediting agency for higher education. First of all, colleges or universities asked for quality control or accreditation. Then, school measures its performance. After that, agency of quality control sends a team of specialists to consider whether school meets standards or not. There is observation school every two years. Next, quality control must be recognized by the governor or the council for higher education. After that, almost of all agencies are recognized by CHEA and Department of Education. Students must attend a school. Next, Foreign students must consider why they should care much about all of this. After all, foreign students do not receive objectives from government. However, every school must be asked for controlling educational quality lead to development in better way.

 Conclusion, accreditation or quality control is important for improving quality of school. Accreditation tells employers that studies should be quality standards. America Education is focused on it for preparing students with higher abilities. In addition, quality control can use for one school and move to another. There are 7,000 schools and more than 19,000 programs were controlled quality by American organization last year. You can find all accredited schools and programs on website “chea.org.” It provides advices about education and accreditation.  In my opinion, I agree with this article because it has good guideline for improving education both to avoid worthless educational programs and how to control education quality by agencies. May I ask readers how you give opinion about this article? Why? How Thai education should be developed in the same way as foreign colleges? Give some comments….

week 11: reading skill- Jane Eyre

Jane Eyre

 English is more important language using in communication each other among several countries in the world. Therefore, English is a role for running economic, discussing on business, communicating in the real life situation, education and etc. Everyone speak English as Second Language or English as Foreign Language and practise how to speak and listen as first. However, writing and reading skills also are important especially reading skill. In this section, I would like to introduce short story named Jane Eyre, began life in bad events happened in family and society. She did not have parents, money and no one loved her. She lived with her uncle (Mr.Reed) and aunt (Mrs. Reed). After, Mr. Reed died; she had to live with her aunt and aunt’s children. They disliked her so much. When Jane Eyre was ten years old, she was sent to school.

 Jane Eyre usually faced with bad story in life. She had no parents, so she lived with uncle and aunt family. Later, her uncle; Mr.Reed, who loved her died. Jane never be happy because everyone in Reed family disliked her. When she was ten years, she went to Lowood School. After that, school was built in a better position, because an old school; there is spreading of disease. When she was eighteen years old, she stayed for more eight years as a teacher at there. Next, she was a governess at Thornfield to teach young Adele. At there, Mrs. Fairfax was a housekeeper and Mr. Rochester was the master of there. During Jane Eyre had lived at there. There were two strange events happened. First of all, the sheets in Mr. Rochester’s room were on fire. Next, Disk Mason, stranger came in Thornfield house-party was attacked by someone. Then, she known John, who was her cousin or Mrs. Reed’s son were debt and imprison. After, he killed himself, so Mrs. Reed was ill. She needed to see Jane Eyre again for telling something. Mrs. Reed sent the letter wrote by John Eyre; Jane’s uncle to Jane. It told that please inform him of the address of his niece, Jane Eyre. When he was unmarried and no children and fairly wealth, he would like to come to Maderia to live with him and to inherit all the property when he died.  Few years later, Mr. Rochester asked Jane to marry with him. Likewise, she loved him so much. There was no wedding day because Mr. Rochester got married with Mrs. Mason. However, she was mad woman, so Mr. Rochester locked her in the secret door at the top of Thornfield house took care by Grace Poole. After that, Jane Eyre leaved out of there and spent live at moor house. Later, she returned to Thornfield. The hotel owner told Jane that Mr. Rochester went to help his mad wife until he injured in the fire. He lost a hand and the sight of both eyes. Later, Jane got married with Mr. Rochester. They have been married for ten years. After two years, his sight began to return in one eye.

        Conclusion, Jane Eyre still loved only Mr. Rochester so much. Jane Eyre usually was not happy until met Mr. Rochester at Thornfield. She was happy with teaching Adele; Mr. Rochester’s daughter. She was a governess at there, because she advertised in a newspaper. When Jane had lived at there and taught Adele. Jane was both a teacher and Mr. Rochester’s friend. Jane changed character of him from silent, sad, and serious to happy. The wedding day of Jane and Mr. Rochester was not happy ending but they still loved each other. After Jane leaved out Thornfield, Mr. Rochester was so sad and tried to find Jane all the time. During that time, his mad wife fired the room of a governess, so Mr. Rochester went to help her. However, the mad wife jumped down from the top of Thornfield and died later. Mr. Rochester injured in fire and he lost one hand and the sight of two eyes. Later, Jane Eyre returned to Thornfield and got married with Mr. Rochester. Few years passed after got married for ten years, the sight of Mr. Rochester returned to one eye. The end of short story was happy ending and be twisted. Do you like this short story named Jane Eyre? Why? Whose character does you like most, Mr. Rochester, Jane Eyre, Grace Poole, Adele, Mrs. Fairfax or St. John River?
